automorphism of quadratic field

Hello, I wonder if it's possible to say when will the automorphism s
of quadratic field K=Q(sqrt(d)) which sends 'sqrt(d)' to '-sqrt(d)'
keep inequality. Actually in which case, I can from a<b conclude
s(a)<s(b), a,b from K. What are the condition on numbers. Let's say
a,b>0, or that I look absolute values. Thank you in advance!
