The Quran is a collection of quaint, unsubstantiated mythologies

to justify all sorts of repressive and deleterious behaviors - witness
with what gusto Muslims are killing each other on a daily basis all
because of this stupid book.
First read the Book and then comment on it. We humans are by nature
killers. If someone chooses to ignore the holy books, and returns to
his/her nature, you cannot fault the holy books. The Germans killed
six million Jews as "inferior beings" and Germans were mostly
Catholics. Should Bible be considered a book that led to such
attrocities? The (Christian) Holy Bible also contains Old Testament!
The predominanly Christian USA dropped two atomic bombs with the
pretext of ending the conflict (that had already ended in that the
Japanese were begging to end it). I think in the USA Christians kill
more Christians and non-Christians than the Muslims do, only the
events are presented in a different light. Now the "inferior beings"
are helping fuel conflict between the Somalis and the Ethiopeans. If
you dig up you would find Jewish intrigue behind what has happened in
Iraq. (Why am I reminded of that Biblical big blind boy?)So should I
start blaming the Jewish religion for it? So get real and stop blaming
Islam for what some misguided Muslims do.
Oh by the way, you say "Quran is a collection of quaint,
unsubstantiated mythologies
and hopelessly outdated philosophies ..." Prove it, but for that you would have to read the Quran. My belief is that the Holy Quran is current and will be current until the end of time. It has been revealed in a language that opens up more as we know more. The OP, who was at fault in posting it on this "godless" site to begin with, was just trying to convey that.Muhammad
