I think you will find that the teams 1 through 8 will not average 77 wins
each. Teams 1-4 will average more than that, and teams 5-8 will average
fewer.
You may think I'll find that, but that's not what I find:
team: 0 Average wins: 76
team: 1 Average wins: 77
team: 2 Average wins: 77
team: 3 Average wins: 77
team: 4 Average wins: 77
team: 5 Average wins: 76
team: 6 Average wins: 76
team: 7 Average wins: 76
A) you do realise you're answering a different question from everyone else, don't you?
You do realize that everyone else is not answering
the question that was asked, don't you?
Not true. It's ambiguously worded - does the numbering "one
thru eight" happen ab initio or per season by rank - and
you've deliberately chosen the interpretation that noone
else, poser included, chose. As the only use of numbers to
identify "teams" in the question was in the context of ranks,
per season, viz. "first place team", it seems perfectly clear
to me, and to the rest of usenet, that those identifiers are
indeed per season ranks.
Well congratulations on finding an alternative interpretation,
award yourself a great big pat on the back. In particular in
the way that you present your answer without indicating that
immaturely and beligerantly you have deliberately chosen the
almost-certainly-not-intended interpretation. That's really
useful of you. Not.
Anyway, if you think you are the only one who's answered
the question correctly, why the *** have you got a team '0'?
You really can be a fuckwit at times.
Sheesh,
Phil
