There is no requirement that a definiendum be capable of instantiation.

2. The definitions itself are not considered statements. Hence they
itself do not carry a truth value. They are purely "syntactical" rules
in order to replace the words which are defined by what they are
defined.


If mutually exclusive properties are part of the same definition, then
you have defined a pink flying elephant as much as a triangle.

So? Why is that a problem?
