Sorry Tommy, academia is a very guarded and contentious place. Members
of the community don't like the idea of their ideas being usurped by
anyone. The first name listed on your entry in an accredited journal
is the be all end all (plus a little tenure). Unfortunately I don't
see that changing any time soon. You might want to check out arXiv,
but other than that there isn't a very active online forum for math.
