Basically what you are saying is, you find it remarkable that no-one
has put more effort into implementing it than you.
Why is that so remarkable? It's usually the originator of the idea who
takes the trouble to see if it can be put to practical use. If you
don't have the time and inclination to determine whether it can be
used to write a program that will factor large numbers, why is it so
remarkable that no-one else will either?
