Hello.
I have noticed recently that wikipedia editors with no mathematical
training have been editing mathematical wikipedia articles. Their
mathematical contributions indicate that they have have trouble even
understanding calculus. However, often they have a political agenda. I am
very disturbed that people who do not know the basics of differential
geometry or non-linear PDE's should challenge the reputation of chinese
collaborators of Yau. How are they in any position to judge?
How can one have a political agenda while editing mathematical
articles? Examples of such edits?
Or is this another one of those cases where someone edits a Wikipedia
article to plug their own original research, which the editors then
remove as inappropriate?
