Hello.no mathematical
I have noticed recently that wikipedia editors with
training have been editing mathematical wikipediaarticles. Their
mathematical contributions indicate that they havehave trouble even
understanding calculus. However, often they have apolitical agenda. I am
very disturbed that people who do not know thebasics of differential
geometry or non-linear PDE's should challenge thereputation of chinese
collaborators of Yau. How are they in any positionto judge?

Well, a good mathematician could tell what's right
and what's not (assuming
they've got some experience in the area). Plus
Wikipedia is not the place to
learn math as evidenced by James Harris' posts.

Good point, Dave. Could anyone name a serious mathematician who was trained by wikipedia?
