PROFESSOR IN COMPUTER SCIENCE

The School of Computer Science offers a BSc in Computer Science and,
in conjunction with our colleagues from Information Systems offers a
BSc in Information Technology. The School also offers a Computer
Science Honours programme which can lead to an MSc and a PhD by
research. The School teaches a number of service modules within the
College of Agriculture, Engineering and Science.

The School wishes to appoint a Professor in Computer Science who will
provide leadership in the School's teaching and research activities.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: PhD in Computer Science; Current substantial
and sustained research record evidenced by publications in accredited
peer-reviewed journals; Academic leadership in research including the
successful supervision of postgraduate students at doctoral level;
Experience in curriculum development and teaching at tertiary level.

ADVANTAGES: A record of securing research funding; A research
record in an area of current interest to the school which include
simulation; graphics; image processing; and artificial intelligence.

As part of the interviewing process, shortlisted candidates will be
expected to present a lecture on a topic of their choice.
