I'm a little out of place here since I understand almost none of the
math being discussed here, but I was wondering which books...text
books, etc. that you have found the most useful for learning math-
basic math like algebra and calculus, (but not advanced calculus at
least for me at this point).

When I think back on learning (to this point), there are a handful of
professors, books, experiences that stood out as really allowing me to
understand some concept, so they stuck, while others seemed to drone
on without making their points clear. This is partly dependent on the
level and scope of the book of course, so I'll start with my current
list of books which I have found most helpful at my level of knowledge
right now: TI 89 graphing calculator for dummies, Cliff's Math Review
for Standardized Tests, How to Ace Calculus, and Calculus
Demystified.

Any recommendations? Tapes and other study aids might work too,
including web sites. Thanks y'all. dkw
