You can select a value of a that gives a close resemblance. a = 0.5645
(approx.) gives tangency at the midpoint of the arc, but that curve
swings below the arc. a >= 2/3 gives a curve always above the arc.
Withn these bounds there is some "best fit" whose exact value depends on
the way one defines "best fit."
