Thread deleted from Google Groups Re: JSH: Your funeral

Dear sci.math denizens:

I was wasting time on Google Groups when I noticed that
most of the thread I'm referencing, "JSH: Your funeral",
has been deleted, back to Sept 11.

I'm not terribly surprised that JSH's posts have gone missing.
That's part of his current standard operating procedure.
But I doubt anyone else has been deleting their own posts.
Certainly I haven't, at least.

I'm not really very familiar with how anything works at
Google Inc. beyond their advanced search page.
How does someone go about getting their posts back up?
What should one do to keep this from happening again?

Thanks for any advice.

Yours,
Jim Burns
