Short answer: If you need $30,000 worth of things to get married, and
especially if you need someone else to pay for them, you are not ready to
get married. I have been married for several years and haven't yet
purchased anywhere near $30,000 in things. Using money from strangers to
pay for say, a lavish wedding reception, is just plain wrong. Wouldn't you
rather see the money go to poor or homeless people?
