I was wondering why the zero key follows (is to the right of) the 9

to preceed the 1 key? Does anyone have any insight into the reason for
this?
That goes back to typewriters, so it is not some modern reason involving
computers...
And many early typewriters didn't even have a zero, you used a capital
"o".
Also why is the zero key on the numeric keypad so large?
Same reason the space bar is large: So you can hit it easily with
your thumb.
