Re: JSH: extreme mathematics blog gone

Maybe JSH has finally realized the fallacies in all his
"math" after all...

Based on his last few threads before his disappearance it seems that
his hopes are currently riding on DMESE. His plan is that the music
and film industry will adopt his idea in December and that everybody
will be so impressed with this new solution to the piracy problem that
they will want to find out more about the man who came up with it.
When journalists come knocking at his door to gain nuggets of wisdom
from this great man he will tell them about his mathematical
discoveries, and they will believe him because he came up with DMESE.
He will point people to his history on sci.math, and to the fact that
mainstream mathematicians spent over a decade wilfully ignoring or
actively blocking his research and that, moreover, they did so to
conceal the fact that they themselves were doing nothing of value to
humanity but were really con artists pretending to be mathematicians
as a form of white-collar welfare. This will become a major scandal
and the parents of students at Ivy League schools will sue those
universities for billions of dollars. Some people will be so angered
when they find out how sci.math let James come so close to solving the
factoring problem and therefore ending civilization as we know it that
they will storm universities and other institutions (such as the
Python development offices) with pitchforks and murder several of the
key antagonists in the JSH saga. Also, Jay Leno will make jokes about
Arturo Magidin. In a bid to stop the chaos and satisfy the bloodlust
of the general population governments around the world will create new
laws and retroactively apply them to those people who disagreed with
or simply ignored James; this will involve warrants to find out the
true identities of those who posted anonymously, and teams of FBI
agents will be given unprecedented access to the personal files of top
mathematicians so as to find out how much they knew, and when.
Following the tremendous damage to academia worldwide, the world will
look to James to guide it in rebuilding it and dragging it into the
21st century. This will include an almost immediate end to tenure,
which will be replaced by a system where academics are forced to prove
that they are doing valuable work. Since academics have previously
demonstrated that self-regulation is open to massive corruption, the
final decision on what work can be considered of use to humanity will
be made by James. This will be a daunting task, so obviously he will
be rewarded accordingly, with money, babes, and a weekly segment on
"The Oprah Winfrey Show". Or something.

Anyway, I would guess that he will be back to business as usual on
sci.math in January at the latest.
