he seems to think that
mathpeople don't use infinity, at all,
that it has to be imbedded
in the representation of numbers
in a "transcendental" way;
actually pretending to have all of the digits
of a "number" like 1999...9999.,
which is thus said to be "one fifth
of 9999...9999. yeah, surely, if
you add one to this representation of "minus one,"
getting 0000...0000, or
getting 10000...0000. -- period!
add one to 1999...9999, and
you get to 2000...0000,
which appears to be one fifth of infinity, or
some thing. well, this may actually work
for Hensel's lemma, but it's a clear analog
of adding the infinitessimal, 10^-9999...9999.,
except that the notation is superfluous.
well, so-much for the rectal dysplay unit!
Otherwise you're left with a contradiction in terms.
Saying that the 1 digit of 100...000 is in the 100...000
position leads us to conclude that the 1 digit represents
the value 10^100...000, which contradicts saying that
the number value is 100...000.
thus:
it did account for the moons, but
I didn't follow the whole method, alas;
I have no idea what the formula is, either.
Kepler's toy scheme has actually proven
to be penintimately correct, as I recall
from a nice, Bode-like formulation
that I read of in *21st c. Science & Technology*;
thus:
"fractality" is mostly an imposition
of the math on the subject, unless
it's some pure object like an M-set ...
which is actually a diagram of the FLOPspec,
after about a zillion iterations of the psychedelic
phasarium!
thus:
it may be well-known, but
at least it says what it means:
it's just the "compliment"
of the vanishingly small spherical trigon
of spherical trig., the only one
that is actually "flat," more or less.
most of the euclidean trigona,
I'm familiar with, are embedded in space;
like, the paper it's on ... which could
be cylindrical, of course.
On further thought, I am guessing the maximum possible triangle area
on a sphere surface
--Mobi usA; Dood, if
you're not on our side,
you're Flatterland!
