Yes. Some of it from users of Google Groups. Here's what I got:

often he is annoying people and has to fear a reaction somhow
Spammers don't care about that, they just spam. And even when they have
return from 0.001% of readers, they are happy of that.
Also many of them are just mischievous and just want to flood the
system and destroy.
Also they have no international pursuits to fear...
BTW there is a link on Google group to signal a message to their abuse.
May be signalling more spam through this link will help Google to ban
spammers from its own domain.
