So you propose to combat spam in sci.math by spamming sci.math. Does

A periodically posted advisory message is used in many forums, and is
_not_ regarded as true spam.
But if you want to regard it as spam, fine, just filter it out. It's a
_fixed_ message, not a variable one like the ones used by the true
spammers, so filtering it out is child's play.
But even if you don't want to bother filtering it out, it's a small
number of postings when measured against the number of true spam
messages posted daily.
Presumably you are claiming that nothing needs to be done -- that you
can live with the daily deluge of true spam. If that's the case, you
can't justifiably make a big deal about only a few more. You can't
have it both ways.
