I suspect even more: Konstantin Lakkis is/was professor
of mathematics at the univesity of Thessaloniki. He
received his Ph. D. in Hamburg in 1964 as a student of
Helmut Hasse. I found some references via Google which
strongly suggest that he could be the author mentioned
in the comment on sequence A059756.

Does that help to get more information via sci.math?

It's dangerous to judge a paper by its title, but none of these titles
makes me think you'll find anything about Erdos-Woods numbers
in these papers.

Zentralblatt has the same 8 papers.
