once again
1) someone posts a topic.
2) it gets answered.
3) but he does not reply to any answers.
its starting to get annoying ...
Are you deranged? The OP posted that topic
over three years ago.
Tom
it happens with recent topics too.
it has been almost tradition here on sci.math
70 % does not get a reply from the original poster.
btw i agree with your that math is more than
algoritms.
but if you dont have a math strategy or algoritm and
just guessing methods performable only by a fast
computer , that guessing is not really math.
( see my other posts here for that )
amy
I have to disagree with you that guessing is not
a successful way to create an algorithm. Most first
order mathematical methods are best guesses. And
all mathematical strategies reduce a problem to
results previously proven.
An algorithm being a recipe that binds the solution
of a defined problem to a particular set of procedures,
guessing is itself a strategy to identify the bounds
and eliminate unfruitful procedures. Speed of calculation
is a practical consideration but not a theoretical
necessity.
