In my case, yes. In high school I got staright A's in geometry
while simultaneously flunking Spanish.

Students who are good at mathematics are good at other subjects generally.

Not necessarily. Mathematics can be more than the sum of it's parts.


Foreign languages ?

The sum of it's parts. (Note, I never got to the stage of reading
Spanish literature, couldn't make my way to the station.)
