Surely there must be groups for FLEA Market enterprises. This
unwelcome material is the kutzu of technical newsgroups, suffocating
everyone with unsolicited cold calls for sales.

Most of the standard spam is handled by regular cancel bots - access
the group through a server which obeys Usenet EMP cancels:

Why isn't it working for Google groups?

The only tripe really specific to this group is the solution manual
spew. This would need to be handled through authorities (which will
take months and several sockpuppet cycles) with someone running a
dedicated cancelbot in the meanwhile to make it disappear. That would
be justified by the fact that most of the solution manual stuff is
off-topic and substantially identical in content.

Just know that blustering, whining, nor individual users tinkering
with filtering rules will accomplish nothing.

It cuts down on the amount of spam and a block on Google posts is a
permanent solution. How does one get a UDP, Usenet Death Policy served
Google? See my other post in this thread for a web address reference to
UDP.
