If you find a pirate copy, I'd be interested. Same goes for
Mathematica.

I wouldn't mind paying the student rate, or anything up to say £1000
(c. $2000). But the commercial price they charge now is monstrous.

BTW, I wonder what Wolfram Research counts as an educational
establishment? Perhaps I could register an academy in the UK
and use that to buy Mathematica at the student rate.
