Hm. Wrong on two counts.
Belgium and an engineerAs it is on record in the archives: he is from
(retired?).
Well, he is quite deservedly an honorary 12 yearold,
if you prefer.

And, of course, being an engineer he may well be
considered an
honorary 5 years old mathematicalwise (joke taken
from the mathematics
department lounge in some well known university)

i never claimed to have a phd in math.
i even said my A^C was just an attempt that could be wrong.
its just that , when people compare me to JSH or similar
then my math is superior and i can get angry.
saying stuff like : timmy timmy timmy , tommy didnt have his sugar , tommy is 5 yo etc
and then being amazed i get angry ?
and considering the childish kind of insults its more likely they are younger than me.
( bit188 was 14 QED )
btw i already apologized to david.
i cant remember david ever apologizing on sci.math ...
and i have shown respect and interest in complex analysis , something david apparantly teaches.
( in fact in my opinion complex analyis is the " foundation " of math not ZFC , typical engineering thinking i guess )
i feel like some here on sci.math should apologize to galatheae and lwalke.
things like : cant you read etc
i mean , galathaea didnt even make a mistake ?
all she and lwalke did was defend my ' attempt to answer and investigate ' A^C and commuting matrices.
where neither she or lwalke NOR i claimed to have proof or anything.
perhaps david hasnt read my apology yet , but if he continues with the " your 12 yo " attitude , he isnt much more mature than bit188 was , and i will never apologize again to him - independent of his math -
i can live with a bit of agression , since i can be so myself , but there are limits ...
also i do need some critisism on occasion.
make no mistake , the subject of this thread and the related ones aren not settled.
but its very unconstructive for a forum , to attack the attempts of others , instead of trying to explore the idea or trying to give an answer to the OP yourself.
david has pointed out A^C is not well defined , for wich i apologized for getting angry about ...
( altough maybe he is wrong afterall , see galatheae 's replies , at least he is right i did not define ... )-

I really don't give half a damn whether you, or anyone else, has PhD
or whatever in maths: with you, Tommy/Amy, it's a matter of attitude,
and I think quite a few people already mentioned that.
I've already said, at least twice, that I think you must be an
intelligent person: it shows from your very curiosity, and it REALLY
never minds whether you make sometimes small or huge mistakes when
trying to figure something out.
What matters, imfho, is that MANY times you pop out with some rather
weird idea, you announce it as loudly as a hen announces it laid down
a new egg, you ALREADY think you've made the century's discovery and
you are ALREADY close to 100% sure you're completely right, you CLAIM
positively stuff that many times is completely baseless and even
utterly devoid even of any logic, and then when people tries to get
you to define stuff you made up (remember those x = [x] things and
stuff? Oh, dear...!), to be clear in your argumentations and
developments, etc....you get angry, you shout, you use lots of
"HAHAHAHA's" and !!!!!'s and other childish stuff...
Now, of course, after SO many time behaving that way, you're not taken
seriously anymore, and ANY little mistake, inaccuracy or plain
nonsense you write is not longer tolerated as it could, probably, be
if it came from some other participant.
You have to understand that you have a rather defficient mathematical
education, which in itself is nothing wrong or bad, but then you
should be more --> HUMBLE <-- and ready to learn, and put aside that
annoying attitude of yours.
People then will be more willing to work, share and, why not, even
discuss and here and there quarrel, with you.

Tonio
