One can imagine that

is like a shopping bag with two handles, one on the right (9),
one on the left (9), and an infinite number of digits in between.

The only problem is, we can select the left handle
easily enuf, but we can't select the right handle except
in a (relatively) few cases. In fact, except in those
relatively few cases, there is no meaningful concept
we can assign to the term 'backview'.

Even if you're a finitist (if that's the right word), you
have no way of knowing what the largest natural
number is so you can pick THAT digit as the
'backview'.

Finally, my first question

..234234234....

indicates a 'backview' for rational numbers may need
to be more than one digit long.
