Several years ago there was a news group <sci.math.moderated>.
Like most of us, the moderators were busy people; so messages were often
delayed for a day or so before appearing there. Most users couldn't be
bothered waiting, so preferred to use this unmoderated <sci.math>. The
moderated group carried very little traffic.
There's no simple path to a perfect world. ;-(
