Sadam's time had come WMD or no WMD --- removing him removed a major block
to social progress in the region and the greatest value was in the
elimination of Uday and QuSAy. By working to establish a free society in
Iraq the entire dynamics of the region is changing for the better and will
apply tremendous pressure on the other bad actors in the region [Iran &
Syria for example] to clean up their act.

Gotta start somewhere. Jefferson always said the US should be a beacon and
catalist for liberty and revolutions throughout the world. It's about time
we got back to Jefferson IMHO.

When presented with viable alternative the breeding grounds can be
eliminated as was done in Germany after WWII and the elimination of the
"Wolf Packs"

We can try. We can certainly kill a lot of them and where countries are
supporting terrorists we can destroy them too. The whole calculus has to
change.

It's always nice to have friends but friends or no friends we have to take
measures to protect ourselves and where someone is working to hurt our
citizens we cannot hesitate to pre-empt them with SEVERE prejiduce.
