That's not entirely true. Heredity plays a HUGE part in one's cholesterol
problems. Some of the newer cholesterol tests break down the LDL into 2
parts--fluffy puffy LDL--which DOES NOT adhere to arterial walls, and small
dense LDL, which DO. There is actually a breakdown of 5 different LDL
components, but these 2 are the most significant. Getting your insurance to
cover this test is another matter!
