The Dalai Lama is a reincarnated deity. He is a happy god..
All gods in tibetan mythology are happy go lucky folks !

And even the folks from the next level down in tibetan myth :
the "asuras" , with the look and feel of born again christians,
are beings also joyful while enjoying a healthy dose of Texas aggressivity.

The next level down is human. It's lucky to be born human,
because we can experience both joy and despair and thereby
we can learn from our missteps and be motivated to seek
enligntenment.

Then there are the hungry ghosts : beings
whose mouth are so small, they can never get enough of food,
and thus are forever hungry.. always despairing..

And animals.. who bear the worst suffering with no chance for
redemption.

And lastly : hell fiends. Anyone who's been to hell knows
what that feels like !!

I say : let Dr. Chung have his religion the way he likes it.
It's the least we can do in return for his valuable presence
on this newsgroup !!!
