No one else's opinion re the heart rate at which you ought to be concerned
matters, unless that someone's name begins with Dr.

If you are having a run of heart rate reading in the 140-150 range, without
exercising, you need to find out what, if anything, is going on. And you do
that by consulting a doctor.

Again, if 140-150 is being achieved without exercising, or even as a result
of minimal exercise (say walking up a single, 12 step flight of stairs), you
need to check it out medically.

Think about it. If twelve people on this newgroup respond to you by telling
you various personal tales which amount to "you have nothing to worry
about", are you *really* going to feel comfortable with those runs of
140-150? Are you going to be *sure* that nothing's amiss? If a doctor
diagnoses it as "nothing", wouldn't you feel a whole heck of a lot better?
