BP Skyrockets on Hydrochlorot!!

My GP took me off Atenolol and put me on 25mg of Hydrochlorot 2 days
ago. My pulse rate has skyrocketed from around 70 to the 130's!!! Is
this just my body adjusting to the change in meds or is something
going wrong here??
My BP initially went up too, but has now gone back to acceptable
levels.
