No, first we repent our sins then we are forgiven. First we turn away
from our sins and then they are remembered against us no more. Saying
that some thing is not done when it is, saying something will stop and it
doesn't, trying to make others the source of our shortcomings is also to
miss the mark; surely not being honest even with ourselves fails.
No, metanoia is what we are called to do.
