Risk:
1. Wasting your life for an afterlife that most likely will never come.
2. Becoming enthralled by religious fanatism. You only have to look at
people like George W. Bush to see how religion can poison a persons
mind.
3. Shiva might be less then pleased that you worshipped Christ instead
of her.
4. Zeus will definitly not like your decision for Christ.
5.-100000. The same picture with at least 100.000 of other gods and
ghosts and other supernatural entities.
Benefits:
Ease of mind, but it comes at a heavy price.

Risk: None.
Benefits:
Live your life as you like and as your conscience tells you and not as
some religious fanatics tell you.
Care about other humans rather than about entities that don't exist.

This is not really a decision. Just as it is not really a decision of
mine that I believe that 2 + 2 equals 4. You

All these threats with torment are enough to render all this talk about
God's love for humans meaningless. That is, they would have done so, if
they had not been meaningless in the first place.
And now for something completly different.
Andrew, i would like to know why you crossposted this thread to
misc.writig and rec.food.cooking.
I understand that this is a choice of yours and I don't deny you the
right to make this choice. Only thing is, I would like to understand the
rationale behind this choice of yours.
