The findings that are described would be consistent with hypertensive heart
disease which does increase the risk of atrial fibrillation (as also suggested
by your being on coumadin and amiodarone).
Would suggest that you ask to be put on an ACE inhibitor if you can tolerate
this class of antihypertensive medication as the most potent means of reversing
your heart disease.
