Dear Mark,
How big does a disaster have to be before men lose their arrogance
before God?
There were some survivors of the tsunami who rose Boxing day morning to
the call of The Holy spirit and went to church in a foreign land.
http://www.phuketchristiancentre.com/ Christ has saved their lives
twice now, their hands are now clearing debris and their ears are
listening to broken hearts. They will still pray and they will be there
to pray with those who turn to find Christ in their brokenness.
There will be more Christian's made than have been lost because of this
disaster.
In Christ's love

Absolutely yes.....
One thing is for sure, your prayers won't.
As this immense disaster unfolds, it becomes more apparent as to the
scale and extent of damage and loss to human life which clearly needs
collossal actions by many nations ( forget individual people helping
here, this is approaching the greatest 'natural' disaster mankind has
witnessed).
Sod your prayers, step aside and let the people who are actually
going to do something get through unhindered. Not your
procrastinations...
Let us prevent more deaths from disease by clearing up with machinery,
by getting efficient effluent disposal into place, by getting clean
drinking water to where it's needed, by supplying and erecting
shelter and by physically moving people to safe and livable areas.
Humanity can rebuild these areas in time. Your prayers will do not
one iota of this work. Not one.
And i really hope that the survivors from distraught families don't
get 'picked up' by your lot of mindless minions who believe there is
a god that will eventually save them with promises of eternal life in
some happy clappy flowery sunny illusion that promises riches
hereafter.. Oh please don't let that happen.
Let's get something straight.. salvation only exists for those of
you who believe god exists. I say, if you can't prove the existence
of god then he doesn't exist. Therefore, no-one 'paid' for my
salvation since there is nothing to pay. If you believe, that's your
perogative but do not state your beliefs as fact, do not attempt to
coerce others into your false world of mindless ritual and adherence
to completely spurious and inaccurate writings and credes.
