Ectopic heart beats disappearing...

Due to a flag in a pilot's license medical (VE's and 110 ms QRS) I had to
see a cardiologist, who had a holter monitor put on me for 24 hours. 120,000
heartbeats later, with 10% ectopic occurring during rest periods only (not
when active). "A little high", he said...

Had an stress Echo/ECG (my sister did the work - in-house job ;)

Came out with flying colours except for a very slightly enlarged aorta,
nothing to worry about. Everything else fine. And *NO* ectopic beats - at
*any* time...

Where in the hell did they go? That has interested the cardiologist.

During the 24 hour period I had the holter monitor on, I consumed some
alcohol (1 beer and I think 1 glass of wine). I do not drink coffee or tea,
and I do not take drugs. I am a reasonably fit (could be better) and active
male, 47 years, 6'4" (193 cm) 212 lbs (96 kilos). BP 120/80. Heart rate
average 78 beats, with a resting rate of 55 (from memory - have to ask
sis). Cholesterol levels are in the upper normal range.

Immediately prior to the ECG/Echo I had a dose of the flu (24 hour elevated
temp etc). I took Panadene to combat the temp; I took vitamins and I also
took Mobic (anti-inflammatory) due to an aggravated back due to tossing and
turning while seeing pink elephants (I have great dreams when I have a
temperature - I should write stories about them! :)

Wonder where the ectopics went???
