Recipe:
Cabbage Curry

3 cups shredded cabbage

1 tablespoon oil

1 small onion, sliced

Dash of turmeric

¼ teaspoon mustard seeds

1 or 2 finger peppers depending on spice tolerance (available at Indian
stores)

Salt to taste

Water as required, 1 to 2 tablespoons

Shred cabbage, blanche, drain and set aside.

Heat oil in pot on stove. Add onions and sauté until golden brown. Add
turmeric, then mustard seeds. Toss in cabbage and stir. Add chilis.

Add water sparingly (this is a drier curry, and the cabbage releases
moisture). Add salt to taste, and cook until cabbage is soft but still
holding. Serve with dhal, roti or rice.
