I definitely agree that natural selection is the main driving force of
evoltuion.

I guess my objection to Mr. Chung's comments was two-fold:

1) Evloution and natural selection are not the same thing. Evolution is the
change of a species over time. Natural selection plays a major role in that,
but natural selection and evolution are not the same thing.

2) There are more mechanisms to evolution than just natural selection like
puntucated equilibrium and genetic drift. And plain-old dumb luck.

Correct. Unfortunately, theory means different things in different contexts.
For example, theory means hypothesis in some contexts, like I have a theory
why it took so long for Boston to win the World Series. Theory also means
scientifiic fact or principle, as in the theory of gravity, quantum theory
or theory of evolution.
