I have an arrhythmia in 1996 I was admitted to U of M hospital with A
Fibrillation, I was told that it may never happen again and was discharged
without any medication.
I was told the arrhythmia I had was not life threatening.
I just had episode on april 9, 2005, I was taken by EMS to the hospital.
My heart was in A Fibrillation, It was brought back into normal rhythm.
I am diabetic and have asthma and about a 130 pounds over weight.
I was placed on 1/2 of a 80mg SOTALOL - ORAL every 12 hours. and Lisinopril
5mg once a day. I was told not to use my advair disk anymore nor albuterol
inhaler only to use flovent.
The Sotalol made me feel horible mentally and I felt like I could not
breathe I tried to call the Dr who perscribed the Medicine and he wouldn't
contact me. I told his nurse I was stopping the Sotalol.
I got upset about this Dr not returning my call so I went to another
cardiology Dr. who gave me Rythmol SR 225 mg to take every 12 hours.
I am afraid to take it because I had such a bad time with the Sotalol.
My question is how are these Medicines different and can the Rythmol give
me the same effects? feeling horible mentally and I felt like I could not
breathe.
Please, help me. as I am so fearful of taking these Heart Medicines.
God bless
