Don't know what you mean by blood pressure and cholesterol related problems.
Look up metabolic sydrome or syndrome X for a clinical relationship.
As far as CAD the high blood pressure accellerates blood vessel disease via
hypercholesterolemia. High blood pressure is a clinical risk factor for
heart disease.

Every disease is related to bad genes. All disease is an expression of
genetics, environmental precipitating factors.
I recommend the VAP lipid panel that goes beyond the typical lipid panel and
looks at particles size which is determined by genetics.
You can't change your genes but you can modulate the disease expression to a
certain extent in some cases by medication or diet or avoidance of
precipitating factors.
