Rita,
Interesting post. Thanks Rita for your concern. I learned from Dr. Cohen's
book that people that develop muscle pains from statins might be able (in
some cases) to start taking low dose statins (instead of medium or high
dose statins) without developing those same muscle pains. Before I do
that, I want to determine if there was any harm done to my body by taking
certain blood tests such as a CK test and Liver Enzyme Test. If those
tests show that any harm was done--I would NOT ever again take statins. If
no harm was done, I might try taking low dose statins once again. If I
developed muscle pains from the low dose statins--I would stop taking them
and never try again. I seem to recall reading that the body develops
cholesterol even if a person eats only raw fruits and vegetables. Do you
know anything about this subject?
