Sharon,
My doctor has to follow the rules of my HMO insurance program. As a
result, she refuses to even allow me to have special tests that I
requested several months ago. I requested a liver enzyme test and a CPK
test. She said those tests were not needed. I know that she would not let
me have the NP test. Later this year, I am going to switch to a different
insurance program--(not an HMO). I am hoping that I will get a better
doctor and will be able to see specialists--even if my new doctor refuses
to refer me. At that point in time, I will try to get some special blood
tests and take the NP test. I made a hard copy of your post and will keep
it for future reference. thanks
Jason
