Good High BP Medication w/ Liver disease

I tried three different statin drugs and had side effects with all of them,
eg, bloating, decreased energy, gassy, frequent small light colored BMs. I
finally refused to take anymore statins. Been watching my diet and taking
fish oil. Cholesterol a little high and HDL a little low. (VAP test: total
ldl-c 144, total hdl-c 34, total cholesterol 190, triglyceride 85) BP
165/don't remember lower number.
The doc prescribed Diovan for hbp - 120mg, qd, I googled Diovan and I'm
concerned about the contraindications, ie, do not use if liver disease is
present. I know I have liver disease and I know I have CV blockage. What
is a good high BP medication to use until I get the CV blockage fixed?
Thanks,
