Open Heart Surgery

I just got home yesterday after having open heart surgery. This is my first
week home. I am ambulatory and can walk without a cane. My wife, tho is
being a bit on the harried side as she won't let me do anything. I walked
the dog this morning and according to her, I walked too far. She feels that
until I see the doctor in two weeks I should stay in the house.
Can anyone tell me the how they did or what is the norm.
Thank you in advance
