You might want to look it up on the Medco web site. Sometimes one drug is in
their formulary and another is not. Or it may just be the price they
negotiated with the manufactuer. Hint: For most statins they can be cut in
half with a pill cutter without a problem even if they come out a little
uneven. And typically the next size up is double the amount in mg but not
double the cost. (Check the web site.) So if your Dr. agrees with the
splitting you can save a lot by ordering the next size up and cutting them in
half.
