Abnormal EKG-Double beat

Hi
I am a healthy 24 year old female at normal weight. About two month ago, I
had a physical and the doctor heard abnormal noises in my pulse. She had me
do an EKG and it showed regular rogue pulses. She had me go to a
cardiologist and I finally went yesterday. The cardiologist had me do
another EKG and it showed the same result. She said that there is a focus
spot in my heart that is generating rogue pulses along with every regular
pulse. She also did an echogram and she said that the rogue pulse has
started to damage my cardio muscles. She suggested doing a heart monitor and
a cardiac MRI. She also said that to get rid of it I will have to go through
a catherter ablation. I am a little nervous what that will involve. I am
also looking for more infomation about the double beat (specifically what is
the medical term that causes this double beating) and what are the effects as
well as what conditions it will lead to if left untreated. I looked at
websites about this but most conditions had rapid pulse firings as a symptom,
which I do not have.
Thank you.
Deanna
