You might ask your Dr. about your wife going off of statins for a month or so
to see if her symptoms improve. Sometimes statins can cause muscle problems
but certainly there are many other things that can do that too - especially in
older people. You might also ask if something called a CK blood test would be
appropriate. A couple of other suggestions you might ask your Dr. about -
taking fish oil capsules (nothing to do with statins) unless you eat a lot of
fish and taking CoQ10 capsules if you stick with the statins. (Statins deplete
this.)
