I can't say, sorry (just a patient).
I used to take Amiodarone, a pill a day, from mid 2001 until mid 2003
to keep my intermittent afib under control. As I said, its only side
effect on me had to do with thyroid: actually, in my 2003 blood check
they detected an excess of tyroxine. Consequently, my cardio had me
terminate Amiodarone immediately and switch to Sotalol associated with
Flecainid - which I'm still on with a fairly good (though not total)
effectiveness on my afib.
Presently I'm under "observation" in view of possible RF Ablation
procedure, not scheduled yet.
