Niacin 50 mg will do nothing to substitute for Zocor 10 mg. Doses of niacin
need to be far higher to have major lipid effects, such as boosting HDL
significantly. And even at near toxic levels it will not produce a 30% drop
in LDL, which the Zocor may.
