I haven't followed this whole thread, but in reference to your post I'd like to say that in my case my doctors have insisted on regular blood tests to check for liver or kidney problems. For example I'm on the following: Coreg (carvedilol) 2 X 25 mg tablets, Altace (ramipril) 5 mg, Lipitor (atorvastatin caicium) 40 mg, Plavix (ciopidogrel bisulfate) 75 mg, Digoxin 250 mg, Amiodarone 200mg, and Bayer Aspirin 325 mg, plus I take a flax seed extract and a grape seed supplement. Now if this doesn't feel like a ticking time bomb.... Every non chest pain I get I wonder if it's my kidneys or my liver. Don't ya just love it. :-)

That's a great point. I don't know the solution. I was just stating the
problem. The only solution is for doctors to NOT prescribe statins to
patients that have serious medical problems such as kidney disease or
liver disease. However, we both know that many doctors will continue to
